Live in Five Minutes: Setting Up ShopSifu

Getting ShopSifu live on your store takes about five minutes and zero engineering. Here is the whole flow.

1. Connect your Shopify store

From the dashboard, click Connect Shopify and approve the install. ShopSifu reads your catalog and order data through the official Shopify Admin API — your access token is encrypted at rest and never stored in plain text.

2. Let Sifu learn your store

As soon as you connect, Sifu indexes your products automatically. To make it sharper, add your policy docs:

• Shipping and returns policy
• FAQ pages
• Sizing guides
• Anything a shopper might ask about

Drop in a file or paste a URL and Sifu folds it into its knowledge base. This is what lets it answer with your policies instead of generic guesses.

3. Set the voice

Pick a tone that matches your brand — warm and playful, crisp and professional, whatever fits. You can also give custom instructions, like:

"Always mention our 30-day return window when discussing returns."

4. Drop in the widget

Copy one snippet (or use the Shopify app embed) and the chat widget appears on your storefront. It is feather-light and won't slow your page down.

5. Watch it work

Open your store, ask the widget a question, and watch Sifu answer from your real catalog. That's it — you're live.
